Customer controls a very large property impacted by petroleum products. Groundwater gradient control system was installed to extract groundwater to prevent migration to a nearby water body.

Clean Harbors provided staffing and treatment system to treat the extracted ground water to meet the customer’s NPDES permit for discharge. The treatment system includes sedimentation, carbon filtration, chlorination and dechlorination.  Clean Harbors also operates the Gradient Control system via SCADA to provide an on-site gradient as prescribed by the customer to control contaminant migration.

The project was operated 24 hours/day, seven days per week. for five years
