2014  Clean Harbors acquires Schrader Environmental Services. Clean Harbors completes purchase of Schrader Environmental Systems Inc, a carbon service and environmental equipment company based in Ithaca, MI with additional operations in Owosso, MI. The Schrader operations will become part of Clean Harbors’ Environmental Services under the North American Remediation Division.

2012  Larger, higher profile projects are now performed as the company gains national recognition for the Sauk Village emergency drinking water project.    $1.3-million activated carbon system is shipped to Georgia for a drinking water application.  Also, equipment was shipped via the "ice road" to a Northern Canada gold mine remediation project.  A new facility is purchased in Owosso, Michigan to handle the growing activated carbon portion of the business.

2010  This is the 20th anniversary of Schrader Environmental.  The company finishes with another record sales year and now employs 18 people.  Two carbon changeout crews are constantly running the road.  The company owns the largest supply of used and rental remediation equipment in the U.S.  The inventory includes seven (7) flatbed "supertrailer" carbon systems.  Each of these systems feature two 10,000# activated carbon tanks. 

2004   A 41,000 sq. ft. facility and offices for new company headquarters is purchased in Ithaca, Michigan. Additional warehouse space, workshop, and offices facilitate further growth. 

2000  Scott Anderson joins the company as operating partner.  He brings valuable experience in the area of carbon adsorption equipment and systems.  The carbon filtration part of the business expands rapidly.

1998  The mobile remediation trailer buildout area of the business continues to expand and the company begins to buy, sell and rent used remediation equipment.  The activated carbon portion of the business continues to grow.

1994   The business continues to expand into areas more than just sales, such as system installations, supplying activated carbon filters, and performing on-site carbon changeouts.  Subsequently, a warehouse and office is purchased in Ovid, Michigan.

1990    Dale Schrader opens for business in Owosso, Michigan as a manufacturer’s sales representative for environmental remediation equipment.
